figured out how to play it?

its not that complicated.... and it really just uses one drum fill the entire song.

im sure drews "ability" as a drummer wasnt the reason why they werent playing it.

I think he meant that the drum part in the intro is played with a double pedal and from what I know, Drew doesn't use one.

Pappas used double bass throughout the majority of Perfection Through Silence, and it's not easy to reproduce that with a single pedal and a continuous roll across the toms while keeping the main beat as Drew does.

Drew does a good job of playing Marc's material from Sunshine - some of which is very difficult. The only thing that stood out was that he didn't play the bridge in Bitemarks and Bloodstains the way Marc does...in the second half of the bridge Marc did a steady open/closed hi-hat rhythm while playing a tom pattern, which is pretty crazy to be fair, but then Marc is an absolutely outstanding drummer.

Personally, I can pretty much play the drum parts to most of the songs on SHTS, but there are some I can't do at the moment such as Revelation Song and The Casket of Roderick Usher; they're difficult because of their stop-start nature, especially Casket with the regular time signature shifts.
