Helen Earth Band - Our Own Ghost City 11/24
Helen Earth Band have been flying somewhat under the radar since their formation post-Finch. Under my radar certainly, and apparently under wikipedia’s radar with their page being removed.
All of that is set to change with the upcoming release of their debut album. If the couple of live videos that have been showcased so far, it’s definitely an album to pick up on release day. Definitely more Counterfeit-esque than Finch-esque, but of course, as to be expected from Marc and co it’s set to be excellent. Marc’s vocals, although limited in Finch were definitely high points (excuse the pun) of live Finch show’s and now we get to experience a lot more of it. Some may be disappointed that Marc isn’t drumming any more, but one reason for the delay in Helen Earth Band putting anything out, was Marc searching for the right drummer and in Brian Evans, I think he found him.
